First Aid

First Aid skills are something everyone should have, and you never know when you are going to need them!

The RAF Air Cadets offers an extensive First Aid training syllabus, starting with the essentials that everyone should know, then on through (optional) additional training to enable cadets to deal with more complex injuries and scenarios. There have been numerous examples over the years where cadets have put their training into practise to help a member of the public or someone in their own family, in some cases literally saving someone's life!

All our First Aid training is accredited by St John Ambulance and British Heart Foundation and delivered by qualified instructors. All cadets will attain the BHF Heartstart qualification as a minimum, and then have the option of progressing onto other nationally recognised qualifications, and potentially even becoming an instructor themselves.
